Rey brings over 12 years of experience in commercial real estate development, strategic planning and operations to the Edgemoor team. He works in close collaboration with the transaction and development group to drive all aspects of the opportunity – from sourcing and creating the deal, managing the pursuit process, and governance of the project after award. Prior to joining Edgemoor, Rey was a key member of Howard University’s Real Estate Development and Capital Asset Management team. During his tenure, he was responsible for transaction structure and design and transaction management, focused on engaging in mixed-use residential real estate development and land monetization activities on behalf of the University system. Rey also brings substantial experience in managing operations strategy for Sodexo, a multi-national, multi-billion dollar operations company.
Rey holds a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Business Administration from Texas Tech University. Rey has earned a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and is actively involved in local industry organizations, including African American Real Estate Professionals.
