Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate (Edgemoor) is a member of the EP2 Developers team selected by the University of California, Merced (the University) for the 2020 Project. Shortlisted firms will submit public-private partnership (PPP) proposals to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain some or all of the elements for a major expansion to the University’s campus.
Comprised of leaders in the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, the EP2 Developers team consists of Edgemoor, Plenary Group (Canada), and Education Realty Trust (EdR). Additional team members include Clark Construction Group, SOM, WRNS Studio, Page Southerland Page, and 360 Architecture..
Six teams responded to the Request Qualifications in October and after interviews in early December with University staff and advisors, three teams were shortlisted. The 2020 Project involves the comprehensive development of up to 1.8 million square feet of academic, administrative, research, recreational, student residence, and student services buildings, utilities and infrastructure, outdoor recreation areas and open space areas—with associated roadways, parking, and landscaping.
The University anticipates issuing a Request for Proposals to the shortlisted teams in spring 2015, with responses due in late 2015.
